Meet the presenters

Dan Cogan-Drew

Co-founder and Chief Academic Officer

Dan Cogan-Drew is Co-Founder and Chief Academic Officer at Newsela where he leads the delivery of learning insights that power improvements in student outcomes by Newsela's products and services. Dan was previously the founding Director of Digital Learning at Achievement First Public Charter Schools, where he spearheaded the integration of digital learning technologies across twenty-two schools, including flipped classrooms, mobile learning, and 1:1 computing. He began his education career in Teach for America and went on to teach in public and private schools, as well as in the US Navy. He holds degrees from Wesleyan University, Brown University, and Tufts University.

Lindsey Menichetti

Science Curriculum Lead

Lindsey Menichetti is the Content Product Manager for Newsela STEM. Before joining Newsela, she taught fifth grade and served as a STEM coach, where she developed a passion for creating science learning experiences that spark curiosity and empower students to think like scientists. At Newsela, Lindsey ensures teachers have engaging, standards-aligned resources that make science and STEM instruction both rigorous and relevant.

Ysaac Keith

Director of Product Management

Ysaac Keith is the Director of Product at Newsela, where he leads a team of passionate problem-solvers in creating tools for meaningful classroom learning. Working in close partnership with educators, he focuses on developing intuitive solutions that spark student curiosity and support classroom instruction.
